A teacher who refused to lose learners
The Maths Doctor Academy was founded by a passionate Mathematics and Physical Sciences educator who spent years watching bright learners give up on themselves because a single topic was never properly explained. Working in classrooms of forty and more, she saw how quickly a learner who falls behind in Grade 8 algebra becomes a learner who fails Grade 12 calculus.
So she started teaching after hours — one learner, then five, then a WhatsApp group that would not stop growing. The Triumph's Family TV YouTube channel followed, and with it thousands of learners across South Africa who could finally rewind a lesson until it made sense.
Today the academy runs structured live online classes for Grade 7 to 12 Mathematics and Grade 10 to 12 Physical Sciences, supported by a student portal that tracks every learner's progress topic by topic.
